Certificate of Merit for Leif Erickson and Boughton Parks

Leif Erickson and Boughton Parks enhancements earned a Certificate of Merit from the Design Council of Saskatchewan, thanks to a successful collaboration with the City of Saskatoon.

At the heart of this achievement? Food Forests; edible landscapes that turn park space into vibrant gathering places filled with fruit trees, shrubs, and perennials. These spaces boost canopy cover, support biodiversity, and help address food insecurity.

Paired with smart water conservation and park upgrades, this project shows what happens when sustainability meets community.
